A couple of weeks ago, I received a call from David Chester, Esq. stating that he is interested in using 1-800-HURT-911 for all of Ohio.  He mentioned that he had 15 offices but never advertised on TV or radio!  I asked him how he grew to 15 offices without advertising and he said he grew just by mailing birthday cards to current and former clients.  But he was doing it the old-fashioned way with an employee doing all the work.  I then realized I knew a few other lawyers in New York who did the same thing.

Dick Larkin, one of the most experienced executives in the yellow page business and publisher of YPCommando.com, said "I hate to admit it, but it's about a billion times more effective than Yellow Pages."

Not only are birthday and greeting cards expensive, but paying an employee to mail out cards is extremely expensive.  It's at least a part-time job!  If you're using an employee earning only $18,000 per year, it will cost you approximately $0.60 per card for the labor.  With benefits and payroll taxes, it comes to $0.94 per card, just for labor.

Now, you can easily and inexpensively generate new client referrals!  Just automatically schedule and mail custom greeting cards on birthdays, holidays & other events to current and former clients. Unbelievably, it's only $0.61 per card including first-class postage and you do almost nothing.  All you have to do is upload the names, addresses and birthdates of your current and former clients; choose a greeting card; write a custom message (you can use First Name Last Name and the system will automatically insert your client's name); and choose a date, birthday or holiday to send the card every year.

All greeting cards are sent in an envelope with a handwriting font (not a label) and a first-class stamp so it looks good and you will be notified of the forwarding address if your client moves.

Lawyers who license 1-800-HURT-911 can now use the custom-designed 1-800-HURT-911 greeting card.  Of course, if you don't license 1-800-HURT-911, you can still send any of a vast selection of greeting cards automatically.

Unfortunately, the greeting card company was set up as an MLM company, but the company is real and provides a great service.  Dick Larkin has been using their service for several years and another friend has also been using them for several years.  I am also now using them.

My advice for lawyers is not to bother paying the $59 annual fee to be a distributor.  There is a ONE-time membership fee ranging from $99 to $398.  My advice is to sign up with the $398 membership fee and select the monthly account replenishment of $15.50 (you will spend more than that anyway and it is required along with the $398 membership fee to get the cheapest card price).
This will allow you to pay the cheapest card price of only $0.61.  The $398 membership fee also allows you to send them your signature (up to four signatures) which can be added to your cards.

I looked all over the Internet and found several other companies providing this service, but while they did not charge a membership fee, they all charged prices of $2.49 to $3.49 per card and did not provide the ability to customize cards.
